Federal agency to rule on Air Canada's no-pet policy (Global TV Winnipeg)

OTTAWA -- The Canadian Transportation Agency on Wednesday suspended Air Canada's application to stop transporting pets as checked baggage on international flights, and will hold hearings to decide whether the policy, which was to go into effect Sunday, will actually fly.

Air Show Pilot Crash Lands Plane (R News)

The Geneseo Air Show got off to a bit of a bumpy start. One of the vintage biplanes in town for the show was forced to make an emergency landing. The World War I biplane took off Friday evening and experienced a power failure.

Child Ejected in Thruway Crash (R News)

A family from Massachusetts had its travel plans cut short Saturday morning after the family SUV flipped over, ejecting an 11 year-old. It happened around 6 a.m., just west of the Henrietta toll station.

Car Veers off 390; Two Injured (R News)

State police are investigating what caused a car to veer off a Brighton expressway. Troopers say the car ran off Interstate 390 at the Interstate 590 split. Two young women inside suffered serious head, neck, and back injuries. They're being treated at Strong Hospital.

Man Dead After Boat Capsizes (R News)

A man is dead after a boat capsized in Lake Ontario Saturday. State Police received the call around 8:30 in the morning. They say Glenn Santos, 58, of Massachusetts and Raymond Hanley, 48, of Mexico, New York were fishing on Lake Ontario when their boat capsized.

Nothing ruins a fabulous vacation faster than an unanticipated medical emergency—except, that is, experiencing such an emergency and knowing you are unprepared to handle it.
